Roadster City Drive

A physics-honest take on the 2026 production Roadster, driving on real streets. Pick any city on Earth: roads and buildings load live from OpenStreetMap, then you drive them.

YOUR CITY SESSION

Landings and checkpoint awards count toward your local activity points.

Two-minute account trial · the car is already staged in Pittsburgh · first launch in seconds
CONTROLS · DRIVING CONTROLS
DRIVEW A S D or the arrow keys. W is the throttle, S brakes and then reverses, A and D steer. Space is the handbrake on the ground and a hover brake in the air.
FLYHold J to spool up and lift off. W pitches forward, S pitches back, A and D bank the car. Space holds a hover and flares your landing. Touch down at under 3.4 m/s sink for a safe landing, on a street or a rooftop.
THRUST AND THE TANKHold Shift with the throttle for thruster boost and hops. The tank meter is in the energy panel. The tank refills slowly on the ground only, once you have stopped thrusting for 3 seconds, at about a quarter of a second of thrust per second. It never refills in the air. Charging refills it fast: press P at a standstill and a session starts when the battery or the tank needs it, and runs until both are full.
OTHER KEYSR recovers you to the nearest road if you get stuck. C changes camera, F cycles fan suction, M the drive mode, B the aero panel, G the explore route, Y a postcard photo. On phones the touch buttons appear by themselves. A gamepad works too: left stick steers, triggers drive and brake, A hovers, LB lifts, RB thrusts.

Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, loaded live from the Overpass API at no cost. Roads use the real mapped tags: lane counts and widths set the road width and markings, posted speed limits and street names show in the HUD, and mapped surfaces add visual and rumble feedback. All dry land uses equal acceleration and speed; water adds drag and rescue flotation. Pittsburgh and central San Francisco relief use sampled public DEMs; bridge deck heights and building foundations are simplified for gameplay. Power, torque, weight, top speed and range use published 2026 production specs; 0–60 times are game-tuned to Tesla's claims (under 1.6 s Performance, under 0.9 s Thrust, under 0.59 s Rocket, thrusters firing). On flight, the honest record: the real Rocket system is a hop, not a trip. An independent physics estimate puts hovering on one tank at about 4 to 5 seconds at best, the demonstrations were lifts, a spin, a flip and a landing each a few seconds long, there has been no sustained flight from point A to point B, and Tesla has not published a flight time. Realistic Flight models exactly that. City Flight is our game extension and is labelled as one in the HUD. All sound is synthesised live with Web Audio to the documented EV character of the car (motor whine, tyre hum, wind rush, fan and thruster noise): no production 2026 Roadster exists yet, so nothing here is recorded from one. Unofficial fan made game, not affiliated with Tesla, Inc. or SpaceX.
